Remembering the past and creating new future realities for public spaces.
Benches are a public space within a public space, they symbolize community bonding.
Creating “shelter tents” decorated by the community of Thialf, (which is a public park located in Arnhem) during a series of auditory drawing workshops, will elevate the benches and create a more inviting atmosphere. To build a tighter bond between the people of Thialf and new visitors. This place will also act as a memorial space; With a sound installation, containing sounds of the past, present, and future of Thialf.
It created a space not only for community bonding but also for archiving and remembering the history of this public space.
